SKG Engineering has completed geotechnical investigations throughout San Angelo and all over Texas. Our geotechnical investigations complement our engineering design phases, and construction material testing, which allows us to provide a complete package of services to our clients. SKG Engineering's laobratory is in-house, so our service is even faster than our competition.

The geotechnical Investigations include, but are not limited to, Atterberg Limits, sieve analysis, unconfined compressive strength, and natural moisture contents.  The reports can also include site conditions, site map showing boring locations, logs of borings, groundwater conditions, Potential Vertical Rise estimates, results of lab tests, allowable bearing capacity values, foundation and pavement recommendations, provisions to mitigate the effects of expansive soils, if applicable, engineered and compacted fill material requirements, and construction testing requirements.

Wastewater Treatment Plant - City of Junction, geotechnical Investigation for improvements to existing wastewater treatment facility.

Water Treatment Plant Improvements- City of Junction, Resident Project Representative for improvements to existing water treatment facility including soil sampling, laboratory analysis and reports for the water treatment facility. SKG has a representative on-site to inspect the progress, complete inspection reports, and coordinate between the funding agency, Texas Water Development Board (TWBD) and the client. TWDB is very involved in the construction process and SKG is prepared for their inspections at any time.

 
  Dissolved Air Filtration Unit for the WWTP- City of Junction, Resident Project Representative for improvements to existing wastewater treatment facility including soil sampling, laboratory analysis, construction material testing and necessary reports for the water treatment facility.
 

Campus Crest - Complete design of a new multi-building apartment complex for university students including geotechnical investigation, foundation planning, site plan, grading design, surveying, topographical surveying, drainage study, utility design, platting, staking, construction material testing and erosion and sedimentation control planning and management.

  Martifer Energy Facility - Complete design of a new wind tower factory including geotechnical investigation, foundation planning, site plan, grading design, surveying, topographical surveying, drainage study, utility design, platting, staking, construction material testing and erosion and sedimentation control planning and management.
  Lakeside Ranch - Design of a new subdivision including site plan, grading design, surveying, topographical surveying, utility design, platting, staking and erosion and sedimentation control planning.

  Blackwell ISD - Geotechnical investigation to provide foundation recommendations for a wind turbine for the school district.
  Electrical Substations - Concho Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc., construction staking, surveying, geotechnical investigation, construction material testing, and inspection services for two electrical substations in Tom Green County and Sterling County.
  Goat Mountain Wind Farm - Comprehensive geotechnical investigation for foundation recommendations of transmission line towers at the site.
  Commerce Square - Geotechnical investigation, pavement evaluation, and pier investigation for shopping center in Brownwood.
  Brownwood ISD - Comprehensive geotechnical investigation, pavement recommendations, and foundation recommendations for the renovation of six campuses in Brownwood, which included 48 soil borings and 12 concrete corings on several campuses.
  Early ISD - Comprehensive geotechnical investigation, pavement and foundation recommendations for a new elementary school and additions to the high school, which included 17 soil borings.
  San Angelo Regional Airport - Engineering services for the rehabilitation of Runway 18/36 and the airport apron to include a geotechnical investigation, surveying, construction material testing, resident project representation (RPR), and project administration.
  Bangs ISD - Geotechnical investigation, surveying, foundation design, and construction material testing for a new elementary and high school.
  Irion County ISD - Boundary and topographic survey, geotechnical investigation and grading plan for school buildings.

  Baran Telecom - Extensive geotechnical investigation along the I-10 and I-20 corridor from central to west Texas for new cellular towers.
